Oleksander began dancing at the age of ten in his hometown of Gorlovka in the Ukraine. He was enrolled in dance classes by his mother whose dream it was that he would become a fine dancer. He then went to more traditional studios to continue his dance training.
Oksana started dancing at the age of seven in her hometown of Kharkov in the Ukraine. Even at that young age she was drawn to the 'pretty dresses'.
Through their training and competing Oleksander and Oksana become familiar with each other and when Oleksander was sixteen he moved to Kharkov and this wonderful couple began their exciting career together.
As they developed their partnership they traveled to Russia, Germany, Holland and Poland among other countries for training and competitions. Wherever and whenever they could they would improve their skills training with some of the worlds finest teachers such as the legendary Alan Tornsbberg.
Their competitive efforts have produced some outstanding results:
- Ukrainian National champions in 2004, 2005, 2006
- 1st place The International Dance Union World Cup in Moscow, 2005
- 1st place Dutch Open in 2005
- 1st place Aarhus Open in Denmark in 2006
- 1st place the International Dance Union World Cup in Kiev 2006
- 3rd place International Dance Union championship in 2006
- Top 48 (27th place) in Blackpool Dance Festival in 2006
- Top 30 in European Championship In 2007
- 7th place in Dutch Open in 2007
- 3rd place in the U.S. National Championships 2008
You can certainly expect to see this dynamic young couple adding to these results in the future.
What really defines Oleksander and Oksana is their pure love for dancing. They consider their greatest success to be when people enjoy their dancing and are entertained. To make people happy through dancing is their ultimate goal.
As teachers you will see their passion and artistic ability brought forward as they strive to bring out what is special in each person. For them their art is more than just dancing patterns to music. It is an expression of art, entertainment and all that is good.
