Laszlo Kovacs
Laszlo Kovacs is a Hungarian Latin Dance Champion. Together with his partner, Erika Keleman, he has won many national and international titles. Laszlo and Erika placed 1st at the 2010 BAS National Championship in Hungary, 1st at the 2010 Hungarian National Championships in Budapest, 2nd at the European Union Academic Championships, and 2nd at the 2011 IDSF Open Rising Star Championships In the Czech Republic. Laszlo and Erika are two-time Youth Olympic Champions in Hungary; they have competed in more than 40 countries.
Laszlo started dancing when he was fourteen years old, when Erika became his first partner. They have been dancing together for more than ten years; they were members of the Hungarian National Dance Team, as well as the World Games team. Laszlo believes that there are three essential components for success in dance. The first step is to learn technique; the second is to create cultivate the character and performance; and the last is to prepare oneself well for competition. Laszlo graduated from Dennis Gabor College in Hungary with a dual degree in business information technology and economics.
