Julia Bobovik began her ballroom training at age 15 in Israel. After seeing a show in which her cousin was a dancer she decided she wanted to learn. Intrigued by the beauty of the Standard dances and the excitement of the Latin dances Julia set out to find a studio to begin training. Soon she was totally immersed in dancing and decided that dancing would be her career.
Julia trained in Israel for two years then travelled to Italy for another two years of advanced training and competition. She then moved to Moscow for more training and competition before heading back to Israel. During this time Julia and partners competed and placed well. Julia includes winning the Israeli Youth Championships on her outstanding resume.
Julia's passion for dance and teaching is exhibited in her fiery and enthusiastic personality. Julia brings an intensity and passion for developing herself and her students to reach their highest goals. Julia feels that dancing is both and art and a sport. She strives to explain everything perfectly and takes ultimate pride in developing her students in not only their dancing ability but in all areas of development. Julia's students learn that their development is more than just the dance. It is building trust, respect, confidence and social skills as well.
Julia finds that as she teaches more she also learns more about developing her own skills as well as her students. Her constant desire to improve is well recognized in her students who have recently been ranked high among the nation's competitors. She has also represented the United States in national competitions.
