Among Dance Fever Studio's unique dance training opportunities are our intensive ballroom boot camps. Featuring training in both Latin and Standard dance, along with a combination of fitness and endurance training, our boot camps offer a terrific kind of "concentrated" dance education.
Offered several times a year, Dance Fever ballroom boot camps can serve dancers in different ways. They will sometimes be held in anticipation of a major competition, in the week or two leading up. Dancers can build endurance in a short period of time, master their routines, and fine-tune their technique, so that everything is fresh in their muscle memory once the competition itself rolls around. Alternatively, our dance boot camps may be offered during vacations (summer break, for example). At a time when dancers may not be at their most active, these intensive training sessions can boost energy, focus, and help prepare for the competitive season ahead.
Boot camps will typically take place over the course of a few days to a week. The day might begin with a stretching session, led by one of our professional instructors trained in gymnastics and fitness. This will be followed by a dance lesson, in either Latin or Ballroom. This may focus in technique or styling. Students then have a lunch break, another dance lesson in a different discipline, and a quick snack to keep energy up. The day culminates in a series of practice rounds, where students can apply everything they've gone over during the course of the day. Finally, dancers cool down with a Pilates session led by a certified instructor.
Our boot camps can also offer exciting opportunities to train with world-class visiting instructors, such as Eugene Katsevman, Markus Homm, and Ksenia Kasper.
The balance of fitness, technique, stretching, and overall endurance addresses the body, mind, and overall well-being so that students receive a well-rounded and fulfilling week of intensive dance training.
