The popularity of ballroom has grown exponentially in recent years, and these days there are more opportunities than ever to get involved in ballroom dance. In the Greater Boston area alone, there are countless dance studios, clubs, and organizations. Why then, you may wonder, should you look to Dance Fever Studio?
Perhaps the most compelling reason is our Dance Fever teachers. Your dance experience, as with any learning experience, is defined by the coach you train with; regardless of how casually or how seriously you pursue ballroom dance, the support and creativity of your instructor is what makes the experience fulfilling.
Our coaching team is as diverse as it is talented. With years of experience in instruction and competition, they bring a unique energy to what they do. Our instructors work with 4 year olds to 84 year olds, beginners and advanced dancers alike - so, whether you're preparing for an international competition, or stepping out on the dance floor for the first time, the instructors at Dance Fever will help you realize your goals.
Dance Fever teachers are truly among the best in the world. Emil and Ruta Ioukhnikov, founders of the studio, have decades of experience coaching youth and adult dancers in Standard Ballroom, Latin Ballroom, and social dance. They've trained couples in Israel and the United States who have gone on to become winners of national and international competitions. Michael and Natasha Odikadze also bring years of expertise to their teaching (Natasha, a former rhythmic gymnast, teaches stretching and aerobics classes as well). Yulia Bobovik a two-time Israeli national champion and brings a boundless energy to her teaching.
One of the most valuable aspects of our coaching team is the fact that many of our teachers regularly continue to train and compete themselves. Couples like Jean-Philippe and Laurence Bolduc regularly travel the world to compete in the most prestigious competitions. They have been chosen to represent their country in World Championships, and placed impressively at Blackpool. Ronen Zinshtein and Mariam Izmaylova are two-time Amateur Standard US National Champions. These coaches bring the most current knowledge from the world of DanceSport to the studio.
Dance Fever Studio is also host to world class visiting coaches, like Markus Homm, Ksenia Kasper, Eugene Katsevman and Maria Manusova, and Bill Morganti. Join our mailing list to get updates about dance workshops with these incredible dancers and teachers.
Our coaches offer numerous Pro-Am opportunities as well - so if you're looking to compete but find yourself without a steady partner, Pro-Am is an excellent opportunity to not only improve your ballroom skills, but gain experience in competition as well.
