Company Policy
Dance Fever, Inc. provides private and/or group dance classes, dancing technique, preparation for performances and competition, in accordance with Company's Articles of Organization, By-Laws, and other corporate governance.
Students presently enrolled in Dance Fever program are also allowed to utilize dance studio for self-practicing and rehearsals.
Company's schedule, tuition policy, dress code, and parking regulations are specifically described on Company's website at www.dance-fever-studio.com, and it is subject to Company's revision and update.
Tuition. Payment must be accepted by the studio at the time of enrollment in post dated checks from the enrollment date to the end of the season (06/30). A non-refundable one hundred dollars ($100) charge will be assessed as a registration fee, and must be accepted with the first payment. The following dates are regarded as "Payment Dates" when Dance Fever must receive payments: 09/01, 11/01, 01/01, 03/01, 05/01.
Emergency. In case of medical emergency and based on its determination, Dance Fever will provide medical assistance to Student according to Authorization and Consent Form", completed and signed by Student or Student's Parent/Parents and attached hereto.
Absence. Parent must pay tuition for the entire term of this Agreement, regardless of Student's absence due to illness, appointments, family trips, and any and all other reasons. There will be no refunds, credits, or exchanges to private classes for missed lessons. A maximum of two make-ups per month can be scheduled in advance in the same or lower level group.
Vacation. Dance Fever will be closed for the following holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas week and Memorial Day, and/or in the case of severe weather.
Indemnification Parent/Parents and/or legal guardian(s) for Student, specifically give permission for Student to participate in dance studio and all activities associated with it, and understand that said activities may be associated with physical exercises, jumping, rotation of the body, limbs, and head, stretching, and the like, and that there are risks involved as a result thereof. Parent/Parents and/or legal guardian(s) for Student indemnify and hold harmless, a and waive all claims against Dance Fever, its principals, agents, servants, and employees from and against any and all loss, cost, charge, claim, demand, liability, damage, medical expenses, long or short term care, claims for emotional distress, suit or demand, known or unknown, apparent and not apparent, present and future, arising directly or indirectly from any bodily injury or property damage loss, including, but not limited to partial or total disability, paralysis, or death, which may occur to Student while on the premises of or under instruction, supervision, or control of Dance Fever.
Students may elect to take classes with our Company guest teachers, said classes are taught at main studio located at 69 Wexford Street, Needham, Massachusetts or with an out-of-state teacher at a studio of such teacher.
Shall a student choose to take classes with any other teacher, a student understands that:
- Taking classes with any teacher other than teachers of Dance Fever is subject to immediate and full disclosure, to Dance Fever and its principals, Emil and Ruta Ioukhnikov and/ or any other Dance Fever teachers, including name and address of any and all such teachers and a subject matter of such class(es)
- Dance Fever, at its sole discretion, may choose to suspect or terminate their services to any student taking classes with an outside teacher;
- Dance Fever, at its sole discretion, may chose to disallow such student to use studio floor for practicing for free;
- Dance Fever, at its sole discretion, may exclude such student from participation in performance, presentation, recital, concert, and/or competition on behalf of Dance Fever;
- Dance Fever, at its sole discretion,shall have unilateral right to remove a student from Dance Fever, if either one of the following takes place (the "Removal Period"):
- Student poses any threat or harm to any other Student or to employee of Dance Fever;
- Exhibits any destructive or threatening behavior;
- Student's parent interferes with or impairs in any way operation of Dance Fever,
- Student's parent/parents failed to make Tuition Payments within two weeks of the respective Payment Date(s). Parent/Parents shall have right to refund of tuition fee upon relocating to another state or other reasons reasonably acceptable to Dance Fever, by giving to Dance Fever a ten (10) business days written notice (the "Withdrawal Notice"), mailed to Dance Fever by certified mail, return receipt requested or delivered in hand. Withdrawal Notice shall be accompanied by Tuition Payment for all money owed for Student's tuition, at which time Dance Fever shall return to Parent/Parents overpaid amount, if any.
- There will be no refunds, or credits for missed lesson. Students may make up missed lessons in a similar class. A maximum of 2 make-ups per month can be scheduled in advance in the same or lower level group.
- All children's lessons taken with Ruta, Emil, or Tamara will cost $40 regardless of the number of lessons taken per week.
- The studio is closed for Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas week and Memorial Day.
- We reserve the right to display any team and/or individual photographs.
- Parking: Parking is restricted only to Dance Fever territory. Parking in front of 77 Wexford Street is prohibited and strictly enforced with towing.
- To avoid being charged for a missed private lesson, please call as far in advance as possible. If the call is not made at least within 24 hours, the lesson will still be charged at full price.
- Absolutely no parents are allowed to attend any private or group classes to attend any private or group classes, except for the last seven days of each month which will be known as 'Parents Week'.
Dress code
Dear dancers and their parents, please adhere to the National dress code rules
- Every child should have special dance shoes (jazz, ballroom, hip-hop, ballet slippers, etc.,) so as not to harm the hardwood floors of Dance Fever's studios.
- Special ballroom dance shoes for competitive levels dancers.
Girls Shoes:
- Age 11 and under: 1.5 or lower inch with block/square heels.
- Age 12 - 15: 2 inches or lower, the heel can be either Cuban or slim.
- Age 15 and up: 2 inches or higher, but they have to have a separate pair of shoes for latin and standard.
Boys Shoes:
- Age 11 and under: Heels no higher than 1 inch.
- Age 12 and over: boys can wear 2 inches heels for latin, but they have to have separate shoes for standard.
If you are in violation of these rules, please, make sure that the dress code is appropriate by January 1, 2007. If after January 1, 2007, the dancers still wear inappropriate shoes, the teacher has the right to send this student home. This is a very serious matter, since the wrong heel can result in severe back and knees injuries.
